Friends of the Powhatan County Library
The Friends of the Powhatan County Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library. Proceeds from the Friends fundraisers help support special events such as author visits, guest storytellers, the summer reading programs, and other cultural events for children, teens, and adults. The Friends also provide funding for items, such as equipment and furniture that the library needs. In addition to supporting the Friends' efforts through membership dues, which start at $5, many people are needed to make advocacy and fundraising successful. To volunteer or for more information about the Friends, call (540) 349-4290 and leave a message.
